For the Brick and Rooftile industries

As through-the-body brick colorants for the commercial and residential construction markets, iron oxides enhance red tones when added to red and buff-burning ceramic bodies. For the Glass industry

Prince offers hematite products for use in commercial building glass cladding to impart solar control and aesthetics and to add color and ultraviolet protection in tinted windshields, back-lights, quarter-lights, and sunroofs for the heavy and light vehicle automotive markets. Additionally, hematite is used in the production of container glass to achieve green and amber color bottles in the furnace. Relatively small additions color the glass but do not affect the basic properties of the glass except for changes in the lower solar light and energy transmission.
