Prince’s Engobes protect and color roof tiles
Prince’s clay-based engobes can produce matte and satin gloss surface effects and can be applied by disc spraying, rolling, and many other methods. They are distinguished by excellent opacity and give a perfect, natural appearance to any design and include a range of metallic finishes and synthetic reduction flash effects.
Prince also supplies a cost-effective range of low temperature engobes, particularly suitable for firing temperatures of 1,000°C and below.
Products for all types of application
Available in a range of colors, finishes, and textures, Prince’s products are supplied as powders that are easily dispersed in water and produce stable liquid suspensions. They are equally suitable for application to wet or dry clay roof tiles and for a range of firing temperatures and atmospheres.
Our glaze products, which are lead-free and contain frits that we manufacture in-house, provide a high-gloss and smooth glassy covering. Like our engobes, they can be applied using a number of different methods and can be applied to wet or dry substrates.
