Prince leverages its presence in the Chinese and in the American battery markets in order to develop high-quality Electrolytic Manganese Dioxide (EMD) products with excellent particle size distribution, low metallic impurities, and outstanding electrochemical properties for local customers.

Optimization of physical parameters
Our customers combine Prince’s EMD with graphite, some KOH solution, and proprietary additives to form a cathode mix, which is granulated. Granules of the right size are then compressed into cathode rings. At Prince, we set out to improve the first-time yield of the “right-sized” granules.
In 2020, we launched an entirely new line of patent-pending EMD products that minimize the undersized dust that needs to be recycled in the granulation operation.
