Our laboratories have first-class analytical capabilities to support our Innovation and Quality teams. From chemical analysis to product performance testing, our capabilities are extensive and allow us to be self-sufficient for many forms of investigation and evaluation.
At Prince, product characterization is integrated into both Innovation and quality assurance. Innovation work at Prince is supported by the instrumentation available in the various quality control labs, including automatic titrators, x-ray fluorescence analyzers (XRF), inductively coupled plasma atomic emission and mass spectrometers (ICP AES and ICP MS), atomic absorption spectrometers (AAS), and x-ray diffractometers (XRD). Understanding the characteristics of our raw materials and finished products ensures that Prince is a quality leader in mineral and chemical-based solutions.

Having on-site analytical capabilities enables Prince to speed up the product development and to understand how product properties impact performance. For all products that are developed and produced at Prince, all necessary equipment is available in our labs.
For example, for our porcelain enamel products, we conduct hot stage microscope tests based on ASTM and EN standards to develop frits with appropriate viscosities.
